Ages: 8 years to 14 years old
Date: Saturday 21 Nov, 2026

Time: 5:00pm to 6:00pm [1 hour]

If I Built a Connected City
Imagining a more connected Dubai in 2033.

If you had a budget to shape your city’s future, what would you invest in—and why?

In this interactive Humanscape workshop at Emirates Towers, children become city decision-makers, tasked with creating a city where people feel connected, supported, and part of a community.

Given a set budget and a selection of illustrated investment cards, they will explore possibilities such as community gardens, sports hubs, wellbeing centres, creative spaces, and places where different generations can come together. They will compare the benefits, weigh competing priorities, and decide which investments deserve a place in their city of 2033.

With a limited budget, every choice matters. Who will benefit? What might be missing? And what truly helps people connect?

Through discussion, budgeting, and explaining their decisions, children will practice critical thinking, collaboration, financial literacy, and empathy—discovering how the choices we make today can shape the communities of tomorrow.
